The Ultimate NASTR Challenge
NASTR awards the Triple Crown every year to riders who complete the three qualifying rides of increasing distance and difficulty.
Nevada Derby 50 – April 4, 2026
NASTR 75 – June 6, 2026
Virginia City 100 – September 19, 2026
Placing is based on cumulative ride time.
In addition to the completion awards, we also recognize:
Grand Champion horse and rider team (same horse and rider)

3rd Place – Free entry to Virginia City 100
4th Place – Free entry to NASTR 75

Junior Champion rider and horse team (same horse and rider)

(if there is more than one Junior, the Champion horse and rider team gets an embroidered blanket and Reserve Champion Junior horse and rider team will receive an embroidered sheet).

Come out, have fun, and enjoy a day with your horse and fun horse people, on a marked trail with lots of support, completion awards, and a meal.
