Washoe Lake State Park is located between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday day use fees are included in your entry. See WASHOE LAKE STATE PARK CAMPING FEES below regarding camping fees this year. Please watch for newly planted trees & drip systems. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Washoe Lake State Park Camping Fees
Due to the new State Park Fee Schedule your overnight camping fees ARE NOT included in your entry fee this year. Your day use fee will be covered by Ride Management. You will need to pay your camping fee upon arrival to the park, at the fee booth, $10.00 per vehicle camping overnight. NV Residents with Annual Parking Permits are covered for day use only. You will be required to pay the above camping fee if staying Friday and/or Saturday nights.
Something New
We will be having a NEDA (National Endurance Driving Association) ride in conjunction with the Sunday AERC rides. This is something new we are offering our local NEDA riders and will be conducted under AERC rules. The NEDA points program will apply, there will be no drive included.
Directions
Traveling South on Hwy 395 from Reno, approximately 6 miles past the junction of State Route 341 and 431, turn left on East Lake Blvd. Proceed approximately 7 miles to the south. After the bend, watch for signs on the right for Washoe Lake State Park. Turn right, then right again after the fee booth. Follow the signs to the equestrian camp area.
Traveling North on Hwy 395 from Carson City, take the East Lake Blvd. exit 42. Turn right and proceed approximately 3 miles to the Park entrance. Turn left, then right after the fee booth. Follow the signs to the equestrian camp area.
Glo bars will be hung at the Park entrance for those arriving during the night.
Sanctioning/Rules: The rides are sanctioned by the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC), Arabian Horse Association (AHA), and
National Endurance Driving Association (NEDA). All AERC, AHA, and NEDA rules will apply. Both 50 mile rides are recognized local AHA rides.
It is the responsibility of the Rider to
know the AERC (
AERC Current Rules) and
AHA (AHA Chapter 16) rules and regulations.
Ride Management reserves the right
to interpret these rules and regulations as necessary, to ensure the continuity
of the ride, and will settle any questions or disputes that might arise from any
incident that might occur during the ride.
