Losing his long battle with Alzhiemer's, Al Beaupre, 80, died peacefully at his home on July 28, 2009. He was born July 17, 1929 in Washington D.C. to Louis S. and Florence Beaupre. |

| At age 13, he and his brother, Louis (15) traveled to Reno for summer vacation with a neighbor who had recently purchased a dude ranch in Reno. They never left. Al attended Billinghurst and Reno High and served in the Army from 1948-1952. He owned A & A Plumbing in Reno from 1965-1995. His favorite pastime was long- distance running and horseback riding especially on Nevada trails. |

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Chuck and Alan; daughter, Karen Johnson; stepson, John Short; sister, Kay and sister-in-law, Carolyn Beaupre and their families. |

No funeral per his wishes with a memorial gathering at a later date. The family thanks the Alzheimer's Assoc and XL Hospice of Fallon for their support. Memorial donations may be made for preservation of trails to Western States Trail Foundation (WSTF) of Auburn CA or the Nevada All-State Trail Riders (NASTR). |
Al has been a member of NASTR since 1972 and a member of the Western States Trail Foundation Board of Govenors since the 80's. Al rarely missed any trail work days and had more volunteer trail work hours than any of our members.
